YBNL frontline act Olamide has apologized to the organizers of the Headies and HipTV in new video surfacing, pertaining to his controversial outburst at the Headies 2015, where he passionately discredited the Headies for awarding Reekado Banks the Next Rated Act ‘snobbing’ his then fast rising label act Lil Kesh.

The rapper had much earlier some days after the prestigious awards show apologized to the fans for his unsavory behavior, promising not to do such again.

He has however come out to create a public video with the Hip TV boss Mr Ayo Animashaun in the one -minute clip, apologizing to the organizers of the Headies and HipTV platform for his inappropriate conduct, claiming he should have apologized earlier, but has been on tour with his crew of late.

"On behalf of YBNL, I'm here to say a big sorry to the Headies crew, Hip TV crew and Mr Ayo Animashaun himself, if not for anything he has always been supportive, from 2010 when Kaffy brought me to the office, so he's more like my dad in the industry, so I had to find a way to come down here and apologize for everything that has happened.."

The ‘Baddo’ singer on January 1, 2016 pulled a stunt at the Headies award, calling out the organising committee after his signing, Lil’ Kesh failed to win the award for the Next Rated Artiste feeling strongly cheated, expecting Kesh to have edged everyone else in the category to pick up the award which eventually was won by Mavin’s  Rekaado Banks.

The controversy escalated with Don Jazzy calling out Olamide too, leading to the rapper taking to social media to rant and hurl curses at the popular producer. The rift was allegedly settled by Nigerian business mogul and billionaire, Aliko Dangote.
