One Lagos State set for rebrand with Launch of event

Lagos is set to launch the “One Lagos” brand. This is in furtherance of His Excellency, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode’s determinaton to move forward the State’s economy.

Lagos is set for the launch of the “One Lagos” brand. This is in   furtherance of His Excellency, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode’s determination to drive the State’s economy using Tourism, Hospitality, Entertainment and Sports for Excellence.

The One Lagos brand will showcase the true spirit of Lagos through different create  expressions while leveraging on the City’s abundant soft power in an attempt to reverse the  negative conversation while celebrating our people, places and the unique heritage of Lagos.

The brand will leverage on the best of the most populous black city, the second largest film industry on the globe, the richest City in Africa and the fashion, technological, design and aviation hub in Africa.

It will promote the diverse multicultural heritage of Africa’s largest mega-city and showcase the   vibrant energy of its people.

The One Lagos  brand was conceived to drive economic growth across all communities in Lagos by ensuring that we take advantage of our population, its density, its wealth and its culture by focusing attention on community consumption to grow and deepen Lagos tourism assets.

At the moment the One Lagos app is available for download on the Ios and Android platforms.

Activities to herald the event will commence on Wednesday 27th July and culminate in the official launch on Friday 29th July, 2016.

The  3-day event will feature performances by Top rated music star artistes, comedy shows, cultural displays, dance competitions, models on the fashion runway and kids’ entertainment segments.

This celebration will continue on a monthly basis with a series of scheduled events up till the celebration of Lagos State @ 50 and beyond.
