"I am Cait" Reality series cancelled after 2 seasons

"I'm Cait" which focuses on Caitlyn Jenner and her personal journey as a transgender, has been cancelled by E!

E! has cancelled Caitlyn Jennr's reality television show 'I'm Cait" after two seasons.

"I Am Cait" was officially announced during her interview with Diane Sawyer, which marked the onetime Olympian's public acknowledgment of her decision to transition to a woman.

The interview which had viewers tune in to watch the former Olympian address his gender transition, drew 16.9 million viewers and a 5.2 rating among adults 18-49.

Despite its lukewarm 1st season ratings, E! renewed the series for a second season in 2015.

With ratings not as high as expected, the show averaged a 1.2 rating in adults 18-49 and 2.73 million viewers overall for its debut.
In May 2015, MultiChioce removed the reality series from E! Entertainment schedule in Nigeria.

According to MultiChoice, the decision to pull down the show follows instruction from the regulatory body, National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), after most Nigerians described the show as 'unfit for kids.'
