Nigerian Musician Lands In Abuja Prison…

A Nigerian musician has found himself in more trouble than he can handle after he was caught committing a crime.

The musician identified as Isaac Wilson has been sentencd to prison.

Wilson, a 25-year-old, was sentenced to a one-month prison term by a Karmo Grade 1 Area Court in the FCT on Thursday.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the young man was sentenced for stealing phone worth N115, 000.

Wilson of Durumi 11 by Dunamis Church, Abuja, was sentenced after he pleaded guilth to a one-count charge theft.

The Area court judge, Abubakar Sadiq, gave the convict an option of N5,000 as fine and warned him to desist from crime.

The First Information Report (FIR) stated that Azubuike Josephine of Rock of age Mall Jabi, Abuja, reported the matter at the Utako Police Station.

Prosecuting counsel Dalhatu Zannah said that sometime in 2015 the convict entered the complainant’s supermarket in pretext to make photocopies and he dishonestly stole S5 Galaxy phone valued N115, 000.

Zannah said the CCTV camera covered the convict and on Aug. 23 he dishonestly came back to the same supermarket with the intention to commit the same criminal act and he was apprehended.

The prosecutor said that the convicts admitted committing the offence during police investigation and interrogation.

Zannah said the offence contravened Section 288 of the Penal Code.
