8 things to know about Stella Oduah

The senator representing Anambra North senatorial district, Stella Oduah, recently lost her son Maxwell Chinedu Etoromi.

According to Sahara Reporters, the 28-year-old, died at a Turkish private hospital in Abuja, after he took a wrong medication prescribed for him following a tooth surgery.

However, Oduah also confirmed the report, saying her son died after a brief illness. We has compiled 10 things to know about Mrs Oduah.

1. Late Maxwell Chinedu Etoromi who passed on was the first son of Stella Oduah.

2. She was married to the former minister for works, Engr Chris Ogiemwonyi.

3. Oduah served in the Goodluck Jonathan administration as minister of aviation. She was confirmed to the post and sworn in on July 2, 2011 and was deployed to the ministry on July 4, 2011.

4. She served as the campaign’s director of administration and finance in the political campaign of former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan.

5. She has been involved in numerous controversies including the BMW bullet-proof cars scandal

6. Her hobbies are working and reading

7. Her favourite food is fish. In an interview with Naij.com when asked her favourite meal, she said “I eat a lot of fish; I love fish. I can eat fish ten times a day because I come from a riverine area. I also love rice, but fish any day, anytime.”

8.  She is one of six female senators in the 8th assembly.
