A vehicle conveying people to the People Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention on Wednesday, August 17, was involved in an accident earlier today along Abak enroute Port Harcourt.
Fortunately, no life was lost in the accident.
In another development, PDP has extended by one year the tenure of the party’s caretaker committee led by Senator Ahmed Makarfi.
The decision was taken after a meeting of top party members including governors and senators at the government house in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. Makarfi’s tenure was extended by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party and given 12 months within which to organise the convention.
