Aregbesola Tell Buhari people are suffering – PDP tells Governor

The PDP spokesman also accused Aregbesola of not paying salaries and yet ear-marking N340m to host Mr. President.

The Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola to tell President Buhari the truth that people are suffering in the state.

The President was in Osun state on Thursday, September 1, 2016, as part of activities marking the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the creation of the state.

The PDP said Aregbesola should not pretend to be a performing Governor, adding that Buhari’s visit is an opportunity to receive help.

The Osun PDP spokesman, Diran Odeyemi, in a statement obtained from Premium Times, said “The president if allowed to inspect Ido Osun Aerodrome, the International market in Dagbolu, Osogbo/ Kwara Boundary road and Osogbo/Gbongan road among other abandoned projects may wish to assist the state in resuscitating them for the benefit of the citizens.

“We heard it on good authority that the President will be commissioning Osogbo Grammar School but would expect governor Aregbesola to tell Nigerians the total cost of the building and the source of its finance.”

The PDP spokesman also accused Aregbesola of not paying salaries and yet ear-marking N340m to host Mr. President.

Odeyemi also said “What other proof do we need to show that Osun state is in quagmire with a huge debt portfolio whereby Osun monthly allocation spends N2.5 billion to service.

“Mr President, by official protocol demand, shall be coming to Osun with some of his cabinet ministers and retinue of Special Advisers, it is therefore important for the President to ask Governor Aregbesola for his own cabinet members.”

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign following the economic recession.
