Horror! You Won’t Believe What an Elephant Did to a Wildlife Photographer Who Was Trying to Snap It (See Photo)

A wildlife photographer who was just trying to take a photograph of an elephant, has ended up with more than he bargained for.

A Wildlife photographer, identified as Fernando Mocclola, has been trampled to death trying to get a close up picture of an elephant drinking.

The cameraman was killed by the animal after it was disturbed at a watering hole in Kenya’s famous Tsavo National Park.

According to Daily Express, Mocclola, an Italian photographer, was staying at the Swara camp within the park when he headed for the watering point near the Sabaki River.

Police say that Mocclola left his wife in the tent to take the pictures and ended up disturbing the creature.

Malindi Police chief Muchangi Mutava told local media: “The man excused himself while having breakfast with his wife and proceeded to the water point and started taking pictures.

“He then may have moved closer to the elephants, provoking the one that charged at him after if felt it was under threat.”

Elephant attacks are estimated to leave more than 2,000 people dead a year globally, although the majority of incidents are in India and Sri Lanka where village communities and the wild animals witness greater degrees of conflict.
