Okonjo-Iweala's revelation may get Akpabio arrested by Buhari

Former finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s revelation sometime ago is about to get Senate minority leader, Godswill Akpabio arrested by the federal government.

According to a report by Sahara Reporters on Friday, September 16, a former lawmaker in the 7th House of Representatives, Robinson Uwak has revealed that he and a host of other people are working for the arrest of Senator Akpabio based partly on some of the words of Okonjo-Iweala

Ngozi-Okonjo-Iweala’s words are now evidence against Akpabio

He said Okonjo-Iweala claimed at a convocation ceremony of Babcock University that Akpabio may have embezzled 99% of Akwa Ibom state’s revenues between 2007 and 2015 when he was governor of the oil-rich state.

Uwak, who was explaining his reason for joining the movement for Akpabio’s quick arrest and prosecution by anti-corruption agencies in a statement he made available to Sahara Reporters on Friday, said: “She boldly declared on her authority as the then Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy that only 1% percent of the state’s resources had been invested in the state.

“Okonjo-Iweala went further to encourage citizens to ask questions, but none could dare ask, knowing what could befall anyone who attempted to question the most brutal and feared family to come out of Akwa Ibom State.”

Uwak also pointed to the recent mention of Akpabio’s name by a faction of the Niger Delta Avengers as one of the group’s principal sponsors as another reason for his call for Akpabio’s arrest.
