In 2004, controversial rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem released the popular song ‘Jaga Jaga’ which immediately got the then president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo upset.
Back then, the president came on national TV to describe the song as thrash and unpatriotic in a televised address. A few years later, reports indicate they met and made up.
However, 13 years later in 2016 during the Nigerian Independence Day, Eedris feels there has been no change in the state of the country.
