Fayose bows to prominent cleric

Fayose, who is known for his attacks on presidency, meets with the prominent man of God

The governor yokes would be broken and he would soon be at peace, while the pastor commended his good job in the state

Williams Kumuyi, general superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) has visited Governor Ayodele Fayose of the Ekiti state at the government house on August 8, Monday, The Cable reports.

Later duo attended a programme organised by the church in the state, where Fayose bowed to Pastor Kumuyi.

Governor Fayose described Kumuyi as an choosen man of God and expressed happiness over the Kumuyi’s visit. He stated that he knows yokes would be broken and he would soon be at peace.

“We are very happy to have you in the state at this time… It is a rare privilege for people like me and for the state. We know what God does through you and the church. We know that now that you are here, the yoke on our people would be broken and when the state is at peace, the governor too will be at peace,” the governor said.

“Many times that I stand on God’s words, it is the church that taught me. I gain all that from the undiluted preaching of the word of God from the church.
“Permit me to say that Pastor Kumuyi’s coming brings much attraction, the attraction comes because of what God has deposited in him and the church. Even coming to visit us as the leader of the state is a rare privilege. It is indeed a rare privilege for the state as well.”

On his own part, the cleric praised Fayose for the “progress the state has made” since he assumed office. He urged the governor to lean on God’s words at all times.
Fayose had earlier attacked President Muhammadu Buhari blaming him for shielding his wife from probe into Halliburton scandal in the United States in which he supposed that Aisha Buhari was involved.

However, the presidency denied the accusation, adding that Buhari’s wife knew nothing about the scandal.

In an answer, the governor in company told journalists that his accusation was right, daring the president’s wife to visit the US whether she would not be arrested over the charges.

Aisha Buhari is currently on a ten-day visit to America, while Fayose is silent.
