A Katsina primary school teacher has been arraigned before a senior magistrates’ court for allegedly defiling seven girls in the Faskari local government area of the state.

The accused school teacher, who was identified as Hamisu Galadima, got arrested by the police following the complaints from the victims’ parents.

Musa said that the first information report (FIR) indicated that the incident occurred at Tashar-icce village in the local government area.

He told the court that Galadima lured the girls into an office after school hours and had sexual intercourse with them on different occasions.

He added that the girls’ parents reported the case to the police after which the suspect was arrested for investigations.

However, the prosecutor confirmed that the girls were being treated at Funtua general hospital.

Analysts believe that this and other criminality would increase because of the country’s current situation.
